catherine popesco, of Romanian origin, is a Parisian native, & a  pivotal force in reviving France's art nouveau & art deco eras in her designs. the popular line is created from her company's original designs & stampings of the early l900's, some of which were inspired by Picasso & Mucha. catherine, a multi-faceted talent, jewelry designer, fine artist, & theatre buff/investor, creates her designs with the aid of a skilled staff based in the Loire Valley of France. her skilled artisans both hand set & hand enamel with tiny brushes, which gives the pieces a diversity of color & a unique feel...a feeling of timeless beauty & elegance. many of the pieces are set in "old silver" (silver over copper/brass). catherine recently introduced new designs in l4kt gold plate over sterling..very elegant & rich in appearance. the entire La Vie gallery is simply the BEST of vintage reproduction jewelry
